Yes, it’s the season – and yet the holidays will be gone before we know it. So I think some time for reflection is in order: What 2014 will hold for us all, and how much we have to be thankful for right now.
Frankly, I’m not sure I was ready for the holiday season until I opened an email from the University of Kentucky public relations office. To be totally honest, I don’t always read every item or click through to every story. But this time, the headline caught my eye: “UK Student-Athletes Discover New Ambitions After Service Trip to Africa.”
So I watched the video. I was thankful I did, and I think you’ll enjoy it, too.
Finally, Renee Shaw and I want to bid a fond farewell to Production Assistant Kara Ferguson. Kara has worked with us for a year-and-a-half and has done an excellent job. She got us to our appointments on time in Washington last spring during KET’s week on Capitol Hill. She also endured the heat and crowds at Fancy Farm, and she worked diligently behind the scenes on numerous public affairs projects. We’ll miss her dearly and we wish her the very best in her new career path. Good Luck, Kara!
Happy holidays to everyone, and best wishes for the New Year.
