Edelen, Hollenbach Reflect on Accomplishments and Politics

Tuesday, December 1st, 2015

Ahead of next Tuesday’s inauguration, Gov.-elect Matt Bevin is busy putting together his cabinet and planning for the next four years. Everyone I talk with is anxiously awaiting the launch of the new administration.

But yesterday I had the opportunity to explore a different perspective on the transition when I visited with two current officeholders who will be leaving Frankfort at the end of December.

Todd Hollenbach has served two terms as Kentucky’s Treasurer and will become a district court judge in Jefferson County. Auditor of Public Accounts Adam Edelen was defeated in his reelection bid and he will move to the private sector for his next job.

I sat down with the two Democrats to discuss their time in office and their observations on politics in Kentucky.
