Promote Your Library this Spring!

DSC01395Hasn’t it been a spectacular spring? Last year’s untimely frost nipped the buds before they burgeoned, but this year’s color display is memorable–and picture-worthy! The redbud stands in my neighborhood while the wisteria drapes education consultant Larry Moore’s homemade bench in his backyard, both exemplifying Robert Frost’s line, “Nature’s first green is gold…”

Spring also means testing in KY schools. wistbench2While the rest of the school is focused on testing, take time to look at the ways the libraries in some districts use humor and creativity in library promotions. Yes, they have been uploaded to YouTube, but you should be able to watch them since this “Not Too Distant Future” blogger embedded them. Most came from Gale’s recent contest.
