Friday, July 26, 2013

KET imageBill Goodman and Renee Shaw anchor live coverage of the annual Western Kentucky political gathering on Fancy Farm 2013, which airs Saturday, August 3 beginning at 2:30/1:30 pm on KET and online at

The political stump speeches at the event showcase grassroots politics in uniquely entertaining form as candidates’ and office-holders’ fiery rhetoric competes with the August heat.

KET’s exclusive, comprehensive coverage begins Friday, August 2 at 8/7 pm on KET with Comment on Kentucky live from the picnic grounds at St Jerome’s Catholic Church in Graves County. Host Ferrell Wellman, who will also be emceeing Saturday’s events, and guests discuss the political news of the week and field their predictions on the next day’s speeches.

On Saturday, Goodman and Shaw’s preliminary coverage leading up to the political speaking event includes political party activists, pundits and journalists. KET’s commentators will parse out the issues important to Kentuckians and the likely tone, theme, and messaging that political partisans on the roster will employ to stoke the crowd to cheers and jeers.

Then, Monday, August 5 at 8/7 pm CT on KET, Goodman and Shaw present highlights of the event.
