Christmas festivities continue this weekend on KET

The holiday fun continues throughout the weekend on KET with Christmas concerts and children’s specials.

Tonight, six siblings, all classically trained musicians, offer a fresh fusion of sounds on Christmas the Annie Moses Band, and Tonic Sol-Fa: Greatest Time of Year features musical artistry, showmanship, and humor as the group performs a mix of holiday favorites. It all starts at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET.

Next, Grammy Award winner and Belmont University alumna Trisha Yearwood hosts a holiday program of traditional carols, classical masterworks, world music, and light-hearted seasonal favorites on Christmas at Belmont, airing Thursday, Dec. 23 at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET. Immediately following, world-renowned musicians perform traditional holiday music on Christmas Concert from Norway.

Then, Family Traditions: The Crane Candlelight Concert features more than 300 carolers and musicians musicians from the renowned Crane School of Music, airing Friday, Dec. 24 at 8/7 p.m. CT on KET2. And, Christmas at Concordia – Journey to Bethlehem, airing 9:30/8:30 p.m. CT on KET, features holiday favorites and the world-renowned choirs.

Finally, Christmas morning finds Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat searching for gifts for each other at 7/6 a.m. CT on KET. Wyatt has an important question for Santa on Super WHY! at 8/7 a.m. CT on KET. And, America’s Children’s Parade features PBS Kids stars, colorful floats, terrific marching bands, giant helium balloons, and performance groups. It airs 8/7 a.m. CT on KET2.

    Would you ever consider showing A Child’s Christmas in Wales as you did years ago on KET? This is such a delightful video – wish I had had the sense to get a copy when you offered them all those years ago. Thanks for all your wonderful programming over the years. Love Kentucky Life!!

    and the Berea College Christmas Concert will be televised now through Christmas Day, including 10 a.m. on Christmas morning. This is not like any other Christmas concert you’ve seen or heard.
