New Sherlock begins!

The anticipated series two of Masterpiece Mystery’s popular modern adaptation premieres Sunday

Saturday, May 5, 2012

The struggle continues in 21st-century London as the team of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson battles the worst that modern criminality has to offer, including a computer-savvy arch-villain who wants to rule the world.

Masterpiece Mystery! presents Sherlock, Series 2, airing in three episodes on Sundays, May 6 – 20 at 9/8 pm CT on KET and Thursdays, May 10 – 24 at 9/8 pm CT on KET2.

Picking up from last season’s gripping conclusion, Sherlock and Watson are plunged into a case of blackmail involving crafty dominatrix Irene Adler, whose motto is “know when you are beaten.”

It seems she has incriminating photos of a session with a British royal. Can she outsmart Sherlock at his own game and at a battle he is ill-prepared to wage: love?

One Response to “New Sherlock begins!”

  1. Robert Schulz says:

Having seen Sherlock Holmes performed by Jeremy Brett on KET, and feeling the settings appropriate to Conan Doyle’s stories, the new SHERLOCK series seems very not only inappropriate, but downright ridiculous. It is all right to present a mystery show about a brilliant – if pretty “far out” – detective in the 21st century, but please do not pass him off as Sherelock Holmes! Such a production not only offends people like me, but does discredit to the work of Conan Doyle. I cannot find the words to tell the people who created this farce just how disappointed I am with the “Brits” who showed such poor taste. I shall not watch the series.
