Full Convention Coverage

PBS is the only place to watch full convention coverage

Originally posted Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012

Update, Monday, Aug. 27, 2012: Due to Hurricane Isaac weather conditions, the Monday, Aug. 27 events of the Republican National Convention have been canceled. Republican National Convention coverage airs Tuesday, Aug. 28 – Thursday, Aug. 30 beginning at 7/6 pm CT on KET.

The Republican and Democratic national conventions are a staple of America’s presidential election every four years, and PBS is the only place on broadcast television to watch full primetime coverage of both conventions during the next two weeks.

Equity and access for everyone is at the core of KET’s mission, and that mission is never more important as during the political season when you’re determining the issues and values that matter most to you.

Award-winning political journalists Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill of PBS NewsHour will co-anchor gavel-to-gavel broadcast coverage from the PBS Skybox on PBS Convention Coverage—A NewsHour Special Report at both the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., and the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.

Republican National Convention coverage airs Tuesday, Aug. 28 – Thursday, Aug. 30 beginning at 7/6 pm CT on KET, and Democratic National Convention coverage airs Tuesday, Sept. 4 – Thursday, Sept. 6 beginning at 8/7 pm CT on KET. Each night offers three hours of continuous convention coverage, giving you an inside look at the issues and people who will shape America’s future come Election Day in November.

This year’s convention coverage also includes 24-hour online stories and updates with NewsHour correspondent Hari Sreenivasan and extended coverage via the NewsHour’s interactive digital map center and “NewsHour All Hours,” a 24-hour livestream on multiple channels that offers viewers an “all-access pass” to the conventions. I used to enjoy Dem/rep conventions but the republican party has turned so evil that this particular convention will not be as enjoyable.
