Kentucky Life fans have seen Dave Shuffett try all kinds of activities as part of his “Dave Does It” segment: clean up after penguins, try his hand at ballroom dancing, zipline across treetops, and more. He always has a blast with these, and now it’s your turn to be part of the action to work toward making sure we keep our state beautiful.

On Saturday, March 23, Dave will travel to Dale Hollow Lake in Burkesville as part of the 15th annual Commonwealth Cleanup going on this week and managed by the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection’s Division of Waste Management.

Easily get involved in your community

Dave is asking everyone in the state to join him. It’s your chance to get involved and make a difference for your community—a “Kentucky Does It” at its best.

If you want to volunteer for an event in your area or create your own event, go to the Division of Waste Management site to see a list of events by county.

Then, if you haven’t already, go to Kentucky Life’s Facebook page and “like” it, then post on the wall what you’re doing to help clean up our Commonwealth! Check in with Kentucky Life’s Facebook page all day Saturday to see what kind of cleanup Dave is getting into at Dale Hollow Lake!

Kentucky Life fans have seen Dave try all kinds of activities as part of his “Dave Does It” segment: clean up after penguins, try his hand at ballroom dancing, zipline across treetops, and more. He always has a blast with these, and now it’s your turn to be part of the action.

On March 24, Dave will participate in some of the many environmental events taking place around the state as part of the 14th annual Commonwealth Cleanup (March 17-24) managed by the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection’s Division of Waste Management.

With opportunities ranging from park and roadway cleanups to river sweeps and landfill projects, there’s no telling what Dave might end up doing! But whatever it is, he knows it’ll go a long way toward making sure we keep our state beautiful.
