TeleFund: Thank you!

You made TeleFund another success

Monday, March 19, 2012

We’ve completed another successful TeleFund, and we have so many people to thank: our many energetic phone-bank volunteers, all of the restaurants that donated food for them, the businesses that made generous in-kind donations, and you: the KET viewers who helped support the programming and educational resources that you love! Thank you!

By becoming a member or renewing your support, you enable us to continue our important mission of bringing the insights, discoveries, culture, excitement and entertainment the world has to offer to communities throughout the Commonwealth.

Again, thank you. We absolutely couldn’t have done it without you!

P.S. If you’ve been meaning to donate but haven’t gotten around to it yet, it’s not too late: there are still great thank-you gifts including books, CDs and DVDs and tickets to exciting live events.

Kentucky Collectibles

What’s your Kentucky treasure?

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Here’s your chance to find out if you’re holding onto a fortune and be a part of KET’s newest program, Kentucky Collectibles!

With your gift of $125 during TeleFund 2012, you may choose to receive one ticket good for one person to bring in up to two items to KET’s Appraisal Fair on May 19 at KET’s Lexington studios.

You could have your story or treasured item featured on Kentucky Collectibles, which is scheduled to premiere on KET later this year!

Kentucky Collectibles will explore the Commonwealth’s distinctive history through its treasures, people and their stories. Each episode of the series will take viewers on an entertaining walk through the past and all over Kentucky.

Viewers will enjoy the stories behind favorite family heirlooms, while expert appraisers make the distinction between what’s “collectible” and what’s not. Each week viewers will discover the flavor and uniqueness of our area through its antiques and collectibles.

Please note: You must be able to transport or carry your own items.

We look forward to seeing you at our Appraisal Fair on May 19! And thank you for supporting KET.
