KET has begun production on a documentary chronicling the life and untimely death of Marion Miley, a famous amateur golfer who was murdered at the Lexington Country Club in 1941. The sensational story of the shocking attack on the 27-year-old-golfer and her mother, as well as the capture and conviction of the killers, dominated headlines across the nation. Three men were executed for the crime, one of whom claimed his innocence to the very end. The documentary will explore the facts of the case, illuminating a fascinating and often forgotten part of Kentucky history.
KET is asking that anyone with first-hand accounts, photos, facts or information about the story contact producer Beth Kirchner at (859) 873-3381 or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
